About us
Jody graduated from Columbia University in 2007 with a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. She has since been treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, specializing in endurance athletes. Certified in manual therapy, Jody enjoys treating in the clinic setting, as well as
on-site at athletic events (look for her post-race at events including the Boston Marathon & NYC Half Marathon). Since moving back to Toronto in 2009, Jody has grown the fitness and performance aspect of her career by teaching Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, and Personal Training. Pre/postnatal physiotherapy & fitness have recently been added to mix, just in time for her own baby to arrive!
Jody’s involvement in physiotherapy began when she was a child, being treated for various injuries during her time as a competitive gymnast. Rather than just treating the injury, her physio went the extra step and taught Jody about the body and the importance of healing. Now Jody uses that same principal to educate her patients, and enjoys taking on students for mentorship.
Jody truly understands athletes, because she is one. After competing in varsity Track & Field and Tennis at Brandeis University, Jody took an interest in endurance sports. She has thus far run 7 marathons, 2 half ironmans, and will be representing Canada at the Triathlon World Championships in New Zealand in 2012.
